トロフィー100%クリア取得までの難易度・時間

難易度は少し難しめの4.0/5.0で、これはゲーム内の最高称号「FOXHOUND」の取得が非常に困難なためです。プレイ時間は40時間程度ですが、初見プレイの場合は80時間ほどかかるかもしれません。

ロードマップ

ロードマップとしては、最短1周でも可能ですが、現実的には2周を強く推奨します。1周目でFOXHOUND以外のやりこみトロフィーを全てクリアし、2周目でFOXHOUND取得に集中します。

  • ケロタン・コレクター
    • 64匹のケロタンを全て発見する。
  • 山猫は狙った獲物を逃さない
    • 大統領と握手をしようとする場面で、後ろにいるオセロットを見つける。
    • このトロフィーはスネーク・アイズ取得を目指しているだけでは達成できないので注意。大統領との握手拒否の敬礼時にカメラを左に向ける必要があります。忘れずに。
  • スネーク・アイズ
    • ボタン指示が出ない一人称視点の場面を全て発見する。
  • カモフラージュ・コレクター
    • 全種類のカモフラージュを発見する。
  • 無限ペイント
    • 無限ペイントを手に入れる。
    • 収監される際にツチノコを取得していた際、一旦手持ちのFOODからは無くなりますが、EVA合流後に再度野生で出現するので忘れずに取得します。エンディングまでツチノコを生け捕り（カゴ）で所持していると無限ペイントを取得できます。
  • フェイスペイント・コレクター
    • 全種類のフェイスペイントを発見する。
  • ジャングル・マスター
    • MARKHORの称号を手に入れる。
  • 早過ぎる死
    • 戦うことなくジ・エンドを倒す。
    • セーブ&ロードで、ジ・エンドを暗殺します。「動くな」（ジ・エンド戦でホールドアップさせるトロフィーの取得が必要なのでトロフィー取得後に暗殺前にロードにして、ジ・エンドには生きててもらいましょう。）

1周目で強く意識するのは上記トロフィーリストです。

1周目で特に意識すべきはケロタン・コレクター、山猫は狙った獲物を逃さない、スネーク・アイズ、各種収集コレクター系、そして無限ペイントです。ツチノコを捕まえた状態でクリアすると無限ペイントを獲得できます。ジ・エンドをホールドアップする「動くな」と戦わず倒す「早過ぎる死」は、セーブ＆ロードを活用して両方取得できます。

上記に加えて、FOXHOUND中はFOXHOUND取得だけ集中したいので、以下の雑多なトロフィーは1周目に取得することを意識しましょう。 チャート中にいつ行うべきかも書いていきますのでご安心ください

正直慣れたらセーブ回数25回が簡単なので危ないステージ・ボスなどはセーブしたら何度でもリトライ出来るので簡単なのですが、MGS3（PS2）時代当時にやっていた時はかなり苦戦したのを覚えています。

難易度EXTREMEだと敵兵士に発見されても即ゲームオーバーにならない為、その場でセーブ→ロードをすると、このステージに訪れた最初の段階までリセットされます。

FOXHOUND取得に慣れないうちは、可能な限りノーキルノーアラートで進んで、見つかったらセーブ&ロード、そしてボス戦は絶対セーブしてチャレンジする、を徹底したら実力関係なくクリアできると思います。

注意なのが「スネーク…!?スネーク!」というゲームオーバー画面でContinueは選ばないでください。上記条件のコンティニュー0回ではなくなり、条件を満たせなくなります。もしゲームオーバー画面に来てしまったら少し前のセーブデータをロードして再度プレイしましょう。

ちなみにプレイ中は現在の上記条件・リザルトを確認することはできず、クリア時にのみ確認可能です。

読み飛ばしを強く推奨：1周でFOXHOUND＋MARKHORを取得する方法

先述した通り、気に掛ける事が多すぎて絶対お勧めしません。どこかでほころびが出て中途半端な結果（どちらも取得できない）になると思います。 が、一応知識として覚えておけば良いと思います。

  • 先述のロードマップの1周目の内容を達成する。
    • ナイフキラー（CQCで首裂き）だけは実行しないで下さい。
  • FOXHOUND条件も並行して達成する。

それで、ラスボスのザ・ボス戦の1個前、ザオジオリエ東部でセーブして以下の行動をします。

  • 1回目：ザオジオリエ東部で最低1回敵兵士を首裂きして殺害、ソリッド、リキッド、ソリダスの野生の蛇を捕獲してザ・ボスを銃火器で殺害してクリア
    • MARKHOR取得
  • 2回目：先ほどのデータをロードし、ザ・ボス戦で上記蛇3種類を捕獲せずに、ザ・ボスをノーキル（麻酔銃）でクリア

これで最短1周でトロフィーはクリアできます。 ただ、このゲームを初めて挑戦する人は絶対にFOXHOUNDを1周目でクリアするのは絶対無理なのでおすすめしません。

取り返しのつかない要素まとめ

ミスしても次の周を新しく始めたら取得できるので本当の意味での取り返しのつかない要素はないです。

周回・セーブ管理・バグ対策

最低1周（非推奨） 実質2周でクリアを目指す事になると思います。

セーブ管理はFOXHOUND取得時は25回以下で気をつけてください。

ユーザーに不利なバグは無いので特に気にしなくて良いです。

補足情報（アップデート・DLC・裏技など）

アップデートで画質や操作性（キーコンフィグ）追加されたのでアップデート最新版をお勧めします。

DLCも特にありません。

裏技

  • グレネードなどの投擲系アイテムをR2を押して構えた状態で走ると足音が消えます。本来は終盤で取得できる「スピリット迷彩」の効果をバグで最序盤から使えるというのは最強過ぎます。活用しましょう。
  • チョルナヤ・ピシェラ主洞など坂道のステージで歩くのが遅くなりますがダンボールをかぶって歩く事で遅くならずに通常速度で歩けるようになります。
  • 敵兵士をノーキル扱いのまま殺害する方法があります。ドラム缶を狙撃して巻き込まれた場合、気絶した敵兵士を運んで水中に落として窒息死した場合、生捕りしたヘビを投げてその毒で敵兵士が死亡した場合
  • タクティカルリロードと言われる技術があります。Mk-22などを狙撃後、R2→R2と押すとリロードモーションがキャンセルされ、即狙撃できます。Extreme以上攻略において必須のテクニックです。
  • Mk-22などをR1で構えている場合、L2+R2を押すとその場で背伸びが出来、一方的に射撃できます。また、射撃構え中にL2orR2でもその場で移動ができます。このクイッと移動した動きは敵兵士には認識されず、立っている位置からは動いていない判定なので、一方的に覗くと良い感じです。
  • グラーニニ・ゴルキー研究所外庭で、フェイスペイントをせずに科学者の服を着ていると脱走されたと勘違いされ、中に連れ戻されます。また、グラーニニ・ゴルキー研究所内は科学者の服を着ているとカモフラージュ効果があり、自由に動けます。ただ、同業者の科学者は顔を見せると疑って、その後発見となってしまうので、背を向けて歩くか長居はしないようにしましょう。
  • ヴォルギン戦直前のグロズニィグラード兵器廠中央棟でC3を仕掛けるイベントですが、隣のステージのグロズニィグラード兵器廠中央棟でメンテナンス員の服をゲットすると楽にC3設置できます。
  • Mk-22を身体に狙撃後、ローリングすると敵兵士が一発で睡眠します。
  • ローリング3回すると敵兵士は気絶します。起き上がりのタイミングが1回目と2回目で違うので最初は注意。脱走直後など何もアイテムがなくCQCも出来ない時に重宝します。
  • CQCで直投げが手早く相手を無力化できるのでおすすめです。気絶は睡眠（麻酔銃など）より起きて復帰するまでが早いので不安であれば麻酔銃を打っておきましょう。
  • ヴォルギン戦でライコフのフェイスペイント（マスク）をすると慌てるので隙が発生します。実用的な小ネタ以外にもヴォルギン戦は沢山小ネタあるので調べてみると面白いかもです。

おすすめの武器・アイテム

  • Mk-22
    • 本編を通して最強の武器です。欠点はサプレッサーが切れたら無音で狙撃できない点ですが、サプレッサーを意識して取得すれば欠点が無くなります。
  • BROWNフェイスペイント
    • このフェイスペイントをつけるだけで水中でのO2ゲージ減少がなくなり、無限に潜っていられます。エラ呼吸偉大だよね。
  • FOOD
    • いつでも手に入りやすい、投げたら音が発生する。これらの特徴から最強武器です。投擲で遠くに投げて敵兵士を簡単に誘導することができます。
  • スタングレネード
    • 最後のバイク逃走戦に限り最強です。もう何も考えずに投げまくりましょう。
  • コールドウォー迷彩
    • ヴォルギン戦をノーキルクリアすると取得できるバイク戦最強迷彩です。これを着ているとバイク戦で敵が前から銃を打ってこなくなります。祖国に銃弾は撃てないらしいです。なお、背中はアメリカなので容赦無く蜂の巣なのでスネークの向きに注意してください。
  • 生捕りについて
    • 基本ですが麻酔銃で動物を倒すとZzzとなり、生捕りに出来ます。蛇を生捕りにして敵兵士に投げると敵兵士に牙を剥き、毒を移します。

それ以外は基本的に使わなくてOKです。

バックパックの木の枝に立ち、南東方面にいます。

トロフィー

    • ストーリー中でヘビ系はスタミナ回復量が高いので絶対食べるシーンはあると思いますが不安であればここで獲得したR.SNAKE H（アミメニシキヘビ）orR.SNAKE G（オオアナコンダ）を食べておきましょう。生捕りじゃなくても大丈夫です。

ドレムチイ沼沢部

  • R.GAVIAL（インドガビアル）
    • ワニです。そこらへんに沢山居ます。ナイフで匍匐＋突きが楽。
  • R.FRUIT C（ガラヴァ）
    • ステージ北のエリアチェンジ直前に果実が成っています。上を見ましょう。
  • R.NEST（バルトスズメバチの巣）
    • ワニが2匹いるステージ中央の島のような所の木に成っています。狙撃して落としましょう。蜂が出てくるので逃げましょう。

ケロタン

ガラヴァが成っているあたりで南東方面にいます。

ドレムチイ北部

FOOD

  • R.BIRD E（スンダルリチョウ）
    • 方法1：最初に見かける敵兵士が歩いている草むらにいますが難しいです。まずは素通し、草むらを通過後、後ろを向くと再度ロードされて再出現するのでナイフでKILLします。
    • 方法2：ステージ北西の木の中のグレネードを取得し、ステージ北東の草むらにグレネードを投げるとスンダルリチョウを捕獲できます。個人的にはこちらがお勧め。敵兵士全員無力化してからグレネード投げましょう。
  • R.FRUIT A（ヤーブラカマラカ）
    • ステージ北西のグレネード取得付近に木の実が成っています。

ケロタン

次のステージへのステージチェンジ付近から南東をみるといます。もしくはスンダルリチョウがいる草むらから南東を見ましょう。

    • 吊り橋の奥から下の秘密の空間にエルード移動でき、取得できます。ケロタン吊り橋がありますが吊り橋の始点の左側の柱の頂点にいます。

  • 養蜂家
    • ハチを使って敵に攻撃する。
    • 蜂の巣を打って、敵兵士が逃げていきます。攻略上ここでやると敵が全員逃げて無力化でき、効率的にステージクリアできるのでここでやりましょう

ラスヴィエット

アイテム

  • マウストラップ
    • オセロットを持ち上げてからボタンを話すとドロップします。必ず入手しましょう。
    • どこでもいいのですがステージ開始位置付近で設置しましょう（スネークイーター作戦再訪時に回収します。）
  • M37
    • 施設内の南西に落ちているので取得しましょう。スタート地点から見える2体目の敵兵士周辺を探索すれば落ちています。

ケロタン

施設内に唯一階段がある箇所があるのですが、登る途中に穴からケロタンがいます。

トロフィー

  • タイム・パラドックス
    • オセロット・タイム・パラドックスを発生させる。
    • セーブしてオセロットを殺害しましょう。実銃で打って大丈夫です。ノーキルを目指している場合はロード、ノーキルを目指していない場合はコンティニューをしましょう。

スネークイーター作戦

ドレムチイ東部

FOOD

  • R.FROG A（オットンガエル）
    • スタート位置からすぐ右にいます。
  • R.MUSHROOM G（バイカルシシタケ）
    • 少し北に進み、ケロタンが居る付近の近くの木の根元にあります。
  • R.SQUIRREL（ホオジロムササビ）
    • スタート位置から北に進むと開けたスペースに出ますが、そこの木によじ登ったり飛んでいたりします。集音マイクで探すか、目視でじっくり探すと分かります。結構大きいです。

ケロタン

スタート位置から北に進むと開けたスペースに出ますが、最初に見かける横たわる丸太付近から西をみると木の間にケロタンがあります。

ドレムチイ北部

FOOD

  • R.SNAKE F（ミドリニシキヘビ）
    • 少し歩くとエリアチェンジ直前の場所に緑の蛇が枝にぶら下がっていますが、そこにいます（ザ・ボスムービー前の地点）
  • R.SNAKE A（キングコブラ）
    • ヴァーチャスミッション時にスンダルリチョウが居た草むらにいます。最初の敵兵士2体をスタングレネードで倒している場合はそこにアイテム化されていますので回収しましょう（ザ・ボスムービー後の地点）

ケロタン

ザ・ボスムービー後、最初の道を右に曲がり、木の上に登り西を向きます。

ドレムチイ沼沢部

ケロタンが再配置しているので最短攻略時はこのマップは不要なのですが、再訪します。

ステージ中央のワニ沼の、北西の陸地にいます。

ドレムチイ南部

    • スタート位置の部屋から下に出られますが、スタート位置の床下にいます。

    • 沼の中に沢山泳いでいます。
  • R.SNAKE D（サンゴヘビ）
    • スタート地点の陸地の中の南西にいます。
  • R.SNAKE E（ミルクヘビ）
    • サンゴヘビから北に進んだあたりにいます。
  • R.FROG C（イチゴヤドクガエル）
    • ミルクヘビの付近の水面を泳いでいます。

ここでヘビを生捕り（麻酔銃で狙撃）にして次のステージでトロフィー「食べるな危険：敵に毒を盛る。」を取得しようと思います。

ワニキャップがある台地から東側から落ちた水中にいます。

ボルシャヤ･パスト南部

  • R.TSUCHINOKO（ツチノコ）
    • 本ステージのステージチェンジ判定付近にマウストラップをセットします。
    • マウストラップに引っかかる生物がツチノコ以外居ないので、「ボルシャヤ･パスト中継基地」と「ボルシャヤ･パスト南部」を行き来してエリアチェンジします。
    • エリアチェンジ時に音が鳴ればツチノコが捕獲されているので取得します。（食べないように注意）アイテム
  • カモフラ SPLITTER
    • ステージの東側に沼地があるがその付近からよじ登り、壁移動すると取得できる。
  • カモフラ CHOCO CHIP
    • ステージの北西、エリアチェンジ判定から南に移動するとある。

ケロタン

西側ルートでローリングで金網を抜けた位置から北西の位置の木の根元にいます。

    • 動物を生け捕りにする。
    • ツチノコ取得時に取得。

    • 敵に毒を盛る。
    • 捕獲したR.SNAKE F（ミドリニシキヘビ）を敵兵士に投げつけて暫くすると死亡します。このタイミングで忘れずにやっておくといいです。

ボルシャヤ･パスト中継基地

ステージ中央の施設内の南東の部屋、机の下にいます。

トロフィー

  • 爆破！
    • TNTで武器庫を爆破する。
    • アイテムを取得する過程でTNTを取得した建物が武器庫なのでTNTをセットして、次のエリアチェンジ直前に爆破してから移動しましょう。次のエリアはボス戦なので警戒フェイズのまま移動しても何もデメリットがありません。

入り口から少しだけ進み、左側（西側）を確認するといます。

ポニゾヴィエ西部

最短クリアだと、ジ・エンドが居るポニゾヴィエ倉庫外部に向かいますが、取得したいケロタン・アイテムがあるので寄り道します。

FOOD

  • R.SPIDER（コバルトブルータランチュラ）
    • ステージ北西のドラム缶があるあたりでグレネードなどの爆発物を投げるとアイテム化します。壁にいますが、小さいので見つけにくいかもしれません。（狙撃でも取得できます）

アイテム

  • SVD
    • ステージ北西の武器庫内にあります。武器全種類獲得の為と、ジ・エンド暗殺の為にも取得します（SVD以外は暗殺できないらしいです）

ケロタン

水中の最北端にいます。分からなければ北西の端にMk-22サプレッサーがあるので、それを取得し、一番近い水に飛び降りましょう。水中で確認可能です。

トロフィー

必ずしもここで達成する必要はありませんが、増援が来ないのと、敵兵士1体以外をドラム缶で間接的に殺害（ノーキル扱い）になっている場合、スムーズに以下の作業が出来なくても、気絶復帰に怯える必要がないのでここを選定しました。

間違って気絶させてしまったら○ボタン3連続入力でローキックまで出してそれを当てて気絶復帰させましょう。

    • ダクトから侵入した場合、ダクトの出口から右側の足元に生えています。

スヴィヤトゴルニ東部

本来は不要ですが、ケロタンとM63の為に寄り道する必要があります。用事が終わったらスヴィヤトゴルニ西部→ソクロヴィエノ南部と進みましょう。

建物の西側の部屋の中にあります。建物の外からでも西〜南西方面からだと窓から見えます。

ソクロヴィエノ南部

ジ・エンドを暗殺していない場合、ジ・エンド戦になります。トロフィー「動くな：ジ･エンドに忍び寄りホールドアップさせる。」と、カモフラージュMOSSを取得する為にホールドアップさせる必要があります。

また、ボス戦中に行けるソクトヴィエノ南部・西部・北部はそれぞれケロタンがいますが、ボス戦後でも侵入可能なので、ボス戦後に忘れずにケロタンを取得しましょう。 R.BIRD A（オウム）も同様にボス戦後に取得できるので、ボス戦中はカモフラージュMOSSだけ気にしたら大丈夫です。

脱獄後は好きなルートで、グロズニィグラード北西部の北の目的地に向かう事になります。既にケロタンは撃っているのでグロズニィグラード収容所以外のケロタンは対応不要です。 CUREで発信機を外しておくとその後のティホゴルヌイで敵兵士が出てこないので攻略が楽なのでおすすめです。

隠しR1イベント（スネーク・アイズ）

ケロタン

  • 脱獄後、右側に部屋があり、その部屋の机の下にいます。看守を持ち上げておろすとスモークグレネードを落とすのでそれを使って鳴らしましょう。

トロフィー

  • 嘔吐感
    • スネークを嘔吐させる。
    • 楽なのでCURE画面でスネークを10回転以上回しましょう。心配して看守が鍵開けて来てくれます。
  • 残された弾薬
    • ナイフを使って銃弾を摘出する。
    • このタイミングでCUREしてトロフィーを取得しましょう。

ソロー戦

グロズニィグラード下水道はケロタンがないので無視でOKです。

溺死で最短クリアできますが、カモフラージュSPIRITが欲しいので一番奥まで進み、白骨死体に触れて、死亡後、蘇生薬を使いましょう。

Roadmap

As for the roadmap, it’s possible to do it in one playthrough, but it’s strongly recommended to do it in two. In the first playthrough, you would clear all the challenge trophies except for FOXHOUND, and in the second playthrough, you would focus on obtaining FOXHOUND.

Honestly, once you’re used to it, the 25 saves is easy, so you can save and retry dangerous stages or boss fights as many times as you want. However, I remember struggling quite a bit when I played it back in the MGS3 (PS2) era.

In EXTREME difficulty, if an enemy soldier finds you, it doesn’t mean an instant game over. You can save and load right there, and it will reset you to the beginning of that stage.

If you’re not used to getting FOXHOUND, I recommend proceeding as much as possible with no kills and no alerts. If you get spotted, use save & load, and always save before a boss fight to challenge it. If you do this, you can clear it regardless of your skill level.

A word of caution: do not choose “Continue” from the “Snake…!? Snake!” game over screen. This will void the “0 Continues” condition. If you end up on the game over screen, load a slightly older save file and try again.

By the way, you cannot check your current progress on the above conditions during gameplay; you can only see the results after clearing the game.

Strongly Recommended to Skip: How to Get FOXHOUND + MARKHOR in One Playthrough

As mentioned earlier, there are too many things to keep track of, so I absolutely don’t recommend this. You’ll likely mess up somewhere and end up with a half-assed result (not getting either). However, it’s good to know for future reference.

  • Achieve the objectives of the first playthrough as mentioned in the roadmap.
    • Do not perform “Knife Killer” (slitting the throat with CQC).
  • Achieve the FOXHOUND conditions in parallel.

Then, save at Zaozyorje East, right before the final boss fight with The Boss, and do the following:

  • 1st run: At Zaozyorje East, kill at least one enemy soldier by slitting their throat with a knife. Capture Solid, Liquid, and Solidus wild snakes, and kill The Boss with firearms to clear the game.
    • You will get the MARKHOR title.
  • 2nd run: Reload the previous save file. In the fight with The Boss, clear it with no kills (using a tranquilizer gun) without capturing the three types of snakes mentioned above.

This is the fastest way to get all the trophies in one playthrough. However, I absolutely do not recommend this for first-time players, as it’s nearly impossible to clear FOXHOUND in one playthrough.

Summary of Missable Elements

If you make a mistake, you can always start a new playthrough and get the trophy, so there are no truly missable elements in the game.

Playthroughs, Save Management, and Bug Countermeasures

Minimum 1 playthrough (not recommended) Realistically, you’ll be aiming for 2 playthroughs to clear it.

For save management, be careful to stay under 25 saves when aiming for FOXHOUND.

There are no user-disadvantagious bugs, so you don’t need to worry about them.

Supplementary Information (Updates, DLC, Glitches, etc.)

Updates have added better graphics and controls (key configurations), so I recommend playing the latest updated version.

There is no DLC.

Glitches

  • When holding a throwing item like a grenade with R2 and running, your footsteps are silenced. This is too powerful, as it allows you to use the effect of the “Spirit Camo,” which is normally obtained near the end, from the very beginning. Use it to your advantage.
  • In sloped stages like the main cave of Chyornaya Peschera, you walk slowly, but you can walk at normal speed by wearing a cardboard box.
  • There’s a way to kill enemy soldiers while keeping the no-kill count. This happens when they get caught in a grenade explosion, when you carry a stunned enemy and drop them into the water to drown them, or when you throw a captured snake and its poison kills the enemy.
  • There’s a technique called tactical reload. After shooting with an Mk-22, press R2 → R2 to cancel the reload motion and shoot again instantly. This is an essential technique for clearing Extreme difficulty or higher.
  • When aiming with an Mk-22 using R1, you can stretch your body in place by pressing L2 + R2, allowing you to shoot from a more advantageous position. Also, during aiming, you can move in place by pressing L2 or R2. This quick little movement isn’t recognized by enemy soldiers as you’re technically not moving from your spot, so it’s a good way to peek out and get a shot off.
  • In the courtyard of Graniny Gorki Lab, if you’re not wearing face paint and wear a scientist’s uniform, they’ll mistake you for an escapee and take you back inside. Also, inside the Graniny Gorki Lab, the scientist’s uniform provides camouflage and allows you to move around freely. However, other scientists will get suspicious if they see your face, and you’ll be discovered, so you should either walk with your back to them or not stay for too long.
  • In the event where you set the C3 in the Groznyj Grad Weapon Shed Main Building right before the Volgin fight, you can get a maintenance crew uniform in the adjacent stage of Groznyj Grad Weapon Shed Main Building to make the C3 placement easier.
  • After shooting an enemy’s body with an Mk-22, if you roll, the enemy soldier will fall asleep instantly.
  • Rolling three times will stun an enemy. The timing of their recovery is different between the first and second roll, so be careful at first. This is a useful trick to have when you have no items and can’t use CQC right after escaping.
  • A direct throw with CQC is the fastest way to incapacitate an opponent, so it’s recommended. Stunned enemies recover faster than sleeping ones (from a tranquilizer gun, etc.), so if you’re worried, shoot them with a tranquilizer gun.
  • In the Volgin fight, if you wear Raikov’s face paint (mask), he will get flustered, creating an opening. Besides useful tips, there are many other small tricks in the Volgin fight, so it might be fun to look them up.

Recommended Weapons and Items

  • Mk-22
    • This is the strongest weapon throughout the main story. Its only drawback is that it’s not silent when the suppressor runs out, but you can eliminate that weakness by consciously picking up suppressors.
  • BROWN Face Paint
    • Wearing this face paint will stop your O2 gauge from decreasing underwater, allowing you to stay submerged indefinitely. Gills are great, aren’t they?
  • FOOD
    • It’s easy to get anytime, and it makes a sound when you throw it. These features make it the strongest weapon. You can throw it to easily lure enemy soldiers away.
  • Stun Grenade
    • This is the strongest item, but only during the final motorcycle chase. Just throw them like there’s no tomorrow.
  • Cold War Camo
    • This is the strongest camouflage for the motorcycle fight, which you get by defeating Volgin with a no-kill run. If you wear this, enemies won’t shoot at you from the front during the motorcycle fight. Apparently, they can’t shoot at their homeland. However, your back is American, so they will still ruthlessly shoot you. Pay attention to Snake’s direction.
  • On Capturing Animals
    • This is basic, but if you hit an animal with a tranquilizer gun, it will go Zzz and you can capture it. If you throw a captured snake at an enemy soldier, it will bite them and poison them.

Otherwise, you generally don’t need to use other items.

Svyatogorny East

This is normally unnecessary, but you need to take a detour to get a Kerotan and the M63. When you’re done, proceed to Svyatogorny West -> Sokrovenno South.

It’s in the western room of the building. You can see it through the window from the outside, from the west to southwest side.

Sokrovenno South

If you haven’t assassinated The End, you’ll fight him here. You need to hold him up to get the “Don’t Move: Sneak up on The End and hold him up” trophy and the MOSS camouflage.

Also, there are Kerotans in Sokrovenno South, West, and North, which you can access during the boss fight, but you can also go back for them after the fight, so make sure to get them. The R.BIRD A (Parrot) can also be obtained after the boss fight, so during the boss fight, just focus on the MOSS camouflage.

Groznyj Grad Southwest

Groznyj Grad has a Southwest, Northwest, Southeast, Northeast, and Prison Camp, and we will get the Kerotan in all of them.

Kerotan

Go west from the start and you’ll see three large containers at the western end. It’s inside the middle one.

Groznyj Grad Northwest

It’s near the landing of the stairs to the west of the center of the stage.

Groznyj Grad Southeast

It’s on the roof of the prison camp (the central building), so climb the stairs to get it.

There are no Kerotans in the Groznyj Grad Weapon Shed Main Building, so you can just proceed. * Be careful as you’ll go straight through if you’re disguised as Raikov.

Kerotan

From the starting point, look to the left and it’s on a telephone pole.

Groznyj Grad Prison Camp

After escaping, you can take any route to the destination in the north of Groznyj Grad Northwest. Since you’ve already shot the Kerotans, you don’t need to worry about any other Kerotans besides the one in Groznyj Grad Prison Camp. It’s recommended to remove the transmitter with CURE, as it makes the later Tikhogorny stage easier since there won’t be any enemy soldiers.

Hidden R1 Event (Snake Eyes)

  • When Ocelot is leaving the room, The Boss imitates him. 3/6

Kerotan

  • After escaping, there’s a room on the right. It’s under the desk in that room. If you pick up and drop the guard, he will drop a smoke grenade, which you can use to make the Kerotan sound.

    • Make Snake vomit.
    • This is easy, so in the CURE screen, rotate Snake 10 or more times. The guard will open the door for you, worried.

The Sorrow Fight

You can ignore the Groznyj Grad Sewers, as there are no Kerotans there.

You can clear this fastest by drowning, but if you want the SPIRIT camouflage, go all the way to the back and touch the skeleton. After you “die,” use a Revival Pill.
